SHOUGUANG, 24 April (BelTA - China Daily) - The 25th China (Shouguang)
International Vegetable Science and Technology Expo opens in Shouguang,
Shandong province.
Themed "green, technology, future", the expo covers a total area of 450,000 square meters, including 10 exhibition halls, a high-yield cultivation area for daylight greenhouses, a vegetable museum, leisure farms, and outdoor exhibition areas.
This year's expo features a wide variety of exhibits, high-end technologies and a strong emphasis on intelligent information.
Over 2,600 varieties of domestic and foreign high-quality vegetables are on display, including new varieties such as low-sugar peppers. More than 120 new technologies, including new types of aquaponic systems, vertical cyclic vegetable planting, and smart agricultural robots, are also showcased.
In addition, the expo displays the achievements of smart agriculture development, including applications such as 5G smart greenhouse management, AI tomato planting models and agricultural blockchain technology.
To further expand overseas markets, this year's expo has set up an international hall, inviting foreign experts, scholars and companies to participate.
High-end conferences and forums such as a seed industry expo, an international agricultural products exhibition, and an agricultural machinery and equipment exhibition will also be held concurrently.
The expo has been held in 24 sessions since 2000, evolving from a regional agricultural exhibition into a national 4A-level agricultural exhibition, renowned at home and abroad. Over the past 24 years, more than 30 million people have visited the expo.
