MINSK, 24 April (BelTA) – The fountain season officially began in Minsk on 24 April, Deputy Director General and Chief Engineer of Minskzelenstroy Ruslan Kosevich told BelTA.
Minskzelenstroy is responsible for 42 fountains in the city. “Throughout the day, our specialists will be visiting them and launching them one by one,” Ruslan Kosevich noted.
The main operating hours for the fountains are from 10:00-11:00 until 21:00-22:00. A more detailed schedule is available on the company’s website.
According to Ruslan Kosevich, two fountains in the capital are scheduled for reconstruction. “Design work is currently underway for the fountain near the Sportivnaya metro station and the fountain near the MAZ Palace of Culture. The Stolitsa fountain is under repair: its basin is being renovated. The rest have been serviced and will be launched,” he said.
Traditionally, the season begins on the last Friday of April and continues until the last Friday of September.
