Belarusian delegation attends diplomacy forum in Antalya

MINSK, 11 April (BelTA) - A Belarusian delegation is taking part in the 4th Antalya Diplomacy Forum that will last until 13 April, BelTA learned from the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The delegation includes Belarus’ Ambassador to Türkiye Anatoly Glaz, Director of the Belarusian Institute for Strategic Research Oleg Makarov, Belarusian diplomats and analysts.

One of the largest specialized events in the region is held under the theme of “Reclaiming Diplomacy in a Fragmented World”. Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan opened the event on 11 April.

The forum brought together over 450 representatives from nearly 140 countries, including more than 20 heads of state and government, 74 ministers, parliamentary speakers and other high-ranking guests. Among them were President Ilham Aliyev of Azerbaijan, President Viktor Orbán of Hungary, President Prabowo Subianto of Indonesia, Georgia's Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze, Qatar's Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Mohammed Al Thani, Russia's Minister of Foreign Affairs Sergey Lavrov and Hungary’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Péter Szijjártó.

On the sidelines of the forum, the Belarusian delegation held several meetings with the leadership of Türkiye’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and partners from other countries. The meetings discussed bilateral relations, economic matters on the global agenda and various aspects of Eurasian security.

Oleg Makarov held talks with colleagues from leading think tanks in Türkiye and other nations.
