No plans to set up rating agency in Eurasian Economic Union yet

MOSCOW, 17 February (BelTA) - It is too early to talk about setting up a rating agency in the Eurasian Economic Union, Iya Malkina, Aide to the Chairman of the Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC), told the media on 17 February, BelTA has learned.

Iya Malkina confirmed that the EAEU's strategy for the development of Eurasian integration until 2025 approved by the heads of state suggests looking into mutual recognition of the national rating agencies and setting up a rating agency in the EAEU. "At the moment we are planning to analyze the feasibility of these measures. It is premature to talk about setting up a rating agency by 2025," she said.

"I would like to note that the interest in this topic is preconditioned by the desire to create a favorable investment climate in the countries of the Eurasian Economic Union," she said.
