Krasnoselskstroimaterialy reduces production costs by Br4.2m in 2020

MINSK, 10 February (BelTA) - In 2020, OAO Krasnoselskstroimaterialy reduced production costs by Br4.2 million, BelTA learned from the website of the Belarusian Cement Company (BCC).

"Our company has been continuously working to reduce the cost of production. In 2020 the economic windfall was Br4.2 million," the BCC said.

The company implemented a whole set of measures. "We have replaced imported bottom ash mix with high-aluminum clay from our own deposit and increased the use of coal in lime kilning. Coal share rose to 85% in the fuel mix. We have also optimized the use of raw materials in the production of cinder blocks. This has helped to reduce the cost of their production by means of decreasing the usage rates for cement, lime and thermal energy," the BCC noted.

In addition, Subsidiary No.1 Cement Plant posted good economic results as it eliminated such a link in the raw mix process as an tailings return elevator. As a result, the company saved on electricity consumption and repairs.

Krasnoselskstroimaterialy is the largest producer of building materials in Belarus. It is a modern multi-business company, producing goods mainly from its own raw materials: cement, lime, fine-grain chalk, cinder blocks and dry building mixtures. Major customers are large construction companies of Poland, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Russia, Ukraine and Moldova. The company operates six subsidiaries.
