Fixed-capital investments of Belarusian Industry Ministry enterprises over Br2.7bn in 2020-2023

MINSK, 1 March (BelTA) – Enterprises accountable to the Industry Ministry invested over Br2.7 billion in fixed capital in 2020-2023, BelTA learned from Dmitry Rukshin, Head of the Investment Office of the Belarusian Industry Ministry, during a session of the ministry’s board.

Dmitry Rukshin said: “In 2020-2023 Industry Ministry organizations raised over Br2.7 billion in fixed-capital investments. Last year’s fixed-capital investments exceeded the total volume of investments in 2021-2022 and went beyond Br1.1 billion.”

In his words, in 2024 the Industry Ministry will continue implementing an industry-specific investment program for the medium term and the long term. The program provides for implementing 65 projects by 54 organizations of the Industry Ministry system. “As a result of the program’s implementation we intend to create over 1,600 jobs and modernize over 600 workstations,” he said.

Proprietary savings and bank loans represent the bulk of the financing the investment program needs.
