Beltamozhservice expands Belarus’ export routes to distant markets

MINSK, 18 September (BelTA) – Director General of Belarus' logistics operator Beltamozhservice Dmitry Kovalenok explained the logistical solutions and limitations in organizing deliveries to distant countries at the 16th international scientific and practical conference “Prospects for the development of customs legislation: Balancing trust and control” held in Minsk, BelTA has learned.

Dmitry Kovalenok noted that Beltamozhservice organized 15 shipments of Belarusian goods to such countries as Nicaragua, South Africa, Egypt, South Korea, Vietnam, and others over the three months of its pilot project.

As a successful case, he highlighted a consolidated shipment to Egypt, made possible through effective coordination between the logistics operator and Belarusian manufacturers MTZ and Svetlogorsk Pulp and Paper Mill.

Beltamozhservice has been designated as the consolidator of export cargo transportation requests by rail to seaports, ferries, port terminals, and railway stations, acting as the consignor for deliveries to Africa, Latin America, Southeast Asia, and the Middle East.

The international scientific and practical conference is held annually in Minsk ahead of Customs Officer Day. It has become a productive platform for dialogue between government agencies and businesses.
