Bellesbumprom's exports up by 18% in January 2021

MINSK, 11 March (BelTA) – The companies affiliated with the Belarusian timber, woodworking, pulp and paper industry concern Bellesbumprom increased exports by 18% in January 2021, BelTA learned from Bellesbumprom's press service.

"In January of this year, Bellesbumprom's companies exported products worth $55.5 million, which was up 18% as against January 2020," the press service noted.

Exports to non-CIS countries rose by almost 26% to $28.8 million and accounted for 52% of total exports. In January 2020, exports to non-CIS markets accounted for 48.7% of the output. Shipments to the European Union surged by 15.5%, to China - by 35.9%. Supplies to CIS markets increased by 10.6%

All in all, Bellesbumprom exported goods to 48 countries in January 2021. In January of last year, the export geography was 44 countries.

"Russia is the main sales market for Bellesbumprom, with exports amounting $18.2 million in January. Poland goes in second with $8.7 million in deliveries. Chines is third ($6.65 million)," the press service said.

In the commodity structure, the largest export items were wood boards, furniture, pulp, plywood, paper and cardboard. All in all, the export commodity structure features about 50 items.
