Bellegprom exports over 55% of its output in 2019

MINSK, 12 February (BelTA) – The Belarusian state light industry concern Bellegprom exported more than 55% of its output in 2019, Bellegprom Chairperson Tatyana Lugina said at the meeting of the company's council, BelTA learned from the website of Bellegprom.

“Bellegprom exported more than 55% of its output to 60 countries to the total amount of $484 million. The company netted Br122.1 million, up 1.8 times over 2018,” Tatyana Lugina said.

In 2019, the total output in the Belarusian light industry hit $880 million. Per capita production made up 13.3m2 of fabric, 2.3m2 of carpets and carpeting, 2.4 knitwear items, 1.1 shapewear items (per woman), 15.6 pairs of hosiery, and 0.7 pairs of footwear.

The meeting of the Bellegprom Council focused on the performance of the national light industry, trends, development vectors, and goals for company managers. “Today the number one criteria to assess the performance of every manager is labor productivity, profits and efficiency,” Tatyana Lugina said.
