MUSCAT, 14 October (BelTA) - One of the main goals of the visit to Oman is to strengthen trade and economic ties between Minsk and Muscat, Belarusian Prime Minister Roman Golovchenko said as he met with Deputy Prime Minister for the Council of Ministers in the Sultanate of Oman Sayyid Fahd bin Mahmoud Al-Said, BelTA has learned.
“Your Excellency, first of all, thank you for the invitation to the friendly Oman on an official visit. On behalf of our delegation, I thank you for your hospitality and warm welcome,” Roman Golovchenko said.
According to the Belarusian prime minister, strong bilateral relations between Belarus and Oman are based on the principles of mutual respect. Roman Golovchenko also praised the high level of mutual understanding between the two countries at the political level.
“We support each other in the international arena. One of the major goals of our visit is to strengthen trade and economic ties between our countries,” Roman Golovchenko stressed.
According to the Belarusian head of government, another important goal of the visit to Oman is to identify the main areas and projects of bilateral cooperation in the near future.
