MINSK, 27 May (BelTA) – Belarusian agricultural workers have met the millet sowing target this season, BelTA learned from the Belarusian Agriculture and Food Ministry.
As of 27 May, spring planting in Belarus was completed on the area of 2,300,000 hectares. Gomel Oblast completed planting works on 99.3% of the planned area, Mogilev Oblast – 94.7%. Planting in Brest Oblast, Vitebsk Oblast, Grodno Oblast, and Minsk Oblast has been completed.
Belarusian agricultural workers continue planting buckwheat (29,200 hectares, or 88.3%), millet (9,760 hectares, or 102.7%).
The target for soil preparation for sowing spring crops has been fully met.
