MINSK, 22 December (BelTA) – The organization of catering for participants of the 2nd European Games Minsk 2019 was discussed at a recent session of the national committee in charge of preparations for the games. The session was chaired by Prime Minister of Belarus Sergei Rumas, BelTA has learned.
Participants of the session discussed the certification of Belarusian purveyors of raw food materials and food products and the registry of products, which will be imported for the sake of organizing catering for participants of the games.
Minsk will host the 2nd European Games on 21-30 June 2019. Over 4,000 athletes from 50 countries will compete in 199 medal events in 15 sports. Competitions in nine sports will serve as qualifiers for the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo. Competitions in badminton, boxing, canoe sprint, and judo will be held in the format of European championships.
