MINSK, 24 June (BelTA) – Belarus' Pavel Dalidovich has reached the Men's Recurve Individual round of last 16 as part of the archery competitions at the 2nd European Games in Minsk, BelTA has learned.
On 24 June, the Belarusian beat Israel's Itay Shanny 6-2 and France's Pierre Plihon 6-4. Pavel Dalidovich will compete against Spain's Daniel Castro for a quarterfinal berth.
Belarus' Kiryl Firsau and Aliaksandr Liahusheu failed to progress in the event.
In the Men's Compound Individual round of Last 16, Belarus' Maksim Ban lost to UK's Adam Ravenscroft 140-144.
On Tuesday, 25 June, Belarus' Hanna Marusava will face Cyprus' Mikaella Kourouna in the Women's Recurve Individual, 1/32 Finals.
The archery competitions are underway at Olimpiyski Sports Complex through 27 June.
