MEGOC: Minsk European Games will demonstrate a high level of technology

MINSK, 8 February (BelTA) – The 2nd European Games will demonstrate a high level of technology, CEO of the Minsk European Games Organizing Committee (MEGOC) George Katulin told the media on 8 February. He took part in the presentation of the official mobile app of the games in the Hi-Tech Park, BelTA has learned.

“The 2nd European Games in Minsk will not only be a big sport event but will also demonstrate a high level of technology in the preparation and organization of the games. It was not by chance that the presentation of the official mobile application of the games Minsk2019 took place in the Hi-Tech Park which resident company is the app developer, Synesis Sport,” said George Katulin.

In his words, Minsk2019 application is very informative. “I hope that it will become one of the major tools for the participants of the competitions and numerous fans who will be visiting our country. The world is moving towards IT development. It is impossible to do any serious work without technology today,” the MEGOC CEO said.

Minsk will host the 2nd European Games on 21-30 June 2019. Over 4,000 athletes from 50 countries will compete in 199 medal events in 15 sports. Competitions in eight sports will serve as qualifiers for the Olympic Games 2020 in Tokyo. Competitions in badminton, boxing, and judo will be held in the format of European championships.
