NUCLEAR POWER IN BELARUS AND WORLDWIDE

MINSK, 8 June (BelTA) – Vera Lapko, ranked 119th in the world, defeated Iryna Shymanovich, ranked 433rd, 6-4, 6-4, in the deciding match of the BelGlobalGarant Cup, which took place in the Minsk Tennis Palace, BelTA has learned.
Egor Gerasimov, ranked 69th, won the BelGlobalStart Cup, defeating Alexander Zgirovsky, 1158th, 6-3, 6-2.
In the preliminary round of the tournament, Aliaksandra Sasnovich (119th) lost to Alexander Zgirovsky 3-6, 5-6 in the semifinal. Aryna Sabalenka, world's number 11, withdrew from the tournament after the first match due to an injury.
The Belarusian Tennis Championship will take place in Minsk on 20-27 June.
