Ilya Shimanovich claims silver at FINA Champions Swim Series

MINSK, 20 January (BelTA) – Belarus' Ilya Shimanovich won silver in the Men's 50m Breaststroke at the FINA Champions Swim Series in Beijing, China, BelTA has learned.

The Belarusian clocked 27.22 seconds to finish second. The event was won by Brazil's Gomes Junior (27.08 seconds). Third was Arno Kamminga of the Netherlands (27.48 seconds).

Ilya Shimanovich also finished fourth in the Men's 100m Breaststroke. At the first leg of the FINA Champions Swim Series Ilya Shimanovich clinched gold in the Men's 50m Breaststroke.

The tournament featured the world's best swimmers: champions and medalists of the Olympic Games, world championships, leaders of the world rankings.
