MINSK, 17 December (BelTA) – The Belarusian men's and women's national teams have learned their rivals in the CEV Volleyball European Golden League 2020 edition. The draw ceremony took place in Luxembourg on 17 December, BelTA has learned.
The competitions will start in late May 2020. The finals are scheduled for late June. The Belarusian men's team will play against the Netherlands, Ukraine and Estonia in Pool B. The Belarusian women's team will face Bulgaria, Hungary and France in Pool A.

The 12 teams per gender will begin their journey in the pool stage, with three groups of four teams each. The pool winners will join the Final Four hosts. The men's Final Four competitions will be hosted by Belgium. Bulgaria will play host to the women's edition.
The total prize money at stake at the Finals alone stands at €305,000, with €125,000 going to the eventual winners of the competition. The top two teams will secure their participation in the 2020 edition of the FIVB Challenger Cup, where they will battle for a chance to take part in the 2021 edition of the elite FIVB Volleyball Nations League.
Last season the Belarusian men's team placed second in the CEV Volleyball European Golden League and took bronze in the FIVB Challenger Cup. Belarus women's team was third in the CEV Volleyball European Golden League 2019.
