MINSK, 24 November (BelTA) – Belarus have made it into the 2022/23 UEFA European Under-17 Championship qualifying elite round, BelTA has learned.
In October in Norway the Belarusian team beat Armenia 5-2, drew with Ireland 2-2 and lost to Norway 0-4. With four points Belarus finished third behind Norway and Ireland, and joined the quartet of teams that would continue their contention for the final stage.
Among those who qualified to the elite round are the Netherlands, Spain, Portugal, England, Italy, France, Germany, Belgium, Norway, Switzerland, Serbia, Wales, Ukraine, the Czech Republic, Montenegro, Slovenia, Croatia, Denmark, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Israel, Scotland, Poland, Finland, Iceland, Ireland, Cyprus, Latvia, Turkey, Slovakia, Albania and Northern Ireland.
The elite round draw will take place at UEFA headquarters in Nyon, Switzerland on 8 December. The matches are scheduled for spring 2023. The final tournament featuring 16 teams will take place in Hungary on 17 May-2 June 2023.
