Nigeria shows interest in Belarus' rescuer training practices

MINSK, 10 March (BelTA) - Experts of the Federal Fire Service of Nigeria, headed by head Ibrahim Liman, got familiar with the capabilities of the International Rescuers Training Center of the University of Civil Protection of the Emergencies Ministry of Belarus (IRTcentre), official representative of the University of Civil Protection of the Emergencies Ministry Andrei Sadovsky told BelTA.

The visitors got familiar with the training facilities and equipment of the center and visited the range of operational and tactical training of rescuers of Belarus.

The delegation from Nigeria studied a set of practical educational programs in firefighting at various facilities, as well as rescue operations, response to accidents involving the release of CBRN substances and much more. The Nigerian colleagues were particularly interested in the training of gas rescue workers and specialists in fire investigation.

On 11 March, the representatives of the Federal Fire Service of Nigeria will visit the University of Civil Protection of the Emergencies Ministry of Belarus to study the Belarusian best practices in training rescuers.
