MINSK, 4 December (BelTA) – The Belarus 1 TV channel has released a video detailing how Polish special services recruit Belarusians, BelTA reports.
Appearing on the video was Dmitry Pozdnyakov, a citizen of Belarus, a native of Uzbekistan. He graduated from the Air Defense Department of the Military Academy of Belarus. He served as a platoon commander of the air defense division of the 38th separate guards Brest Vienna airborne assault brigade and later deputy military commandant of the Brest military commandant's office.
Around 2011, Dmitry Pozdnyakov began to regularly travel to Poland. One of these trips changed his life dramatically. On that day, while crossing the border on the Polish territory, an employee approached him and took him to some office. There was a man there who “offered to cooperate”. Back then, Dmitry Pozdnyakov served as deputy military commandant.
“I said: 'What are you interested in?' 'We are interested in everything related to your work, your position. We will pay for the information provided',” said Dmitry Pozdnyakov. According to him, he was not coerced, he voluntarily agreed to cooperate. As it turned out, the person who spoke with Dmitry Pozdnyakov was an employee of the Polish special services.
The employee was interested in the list of commanders of the Brest garrison, the plan of the military commandant's office. According to Dmitry Pozdnyakov, he understood the consequences, but took the risk. At the first meeting, the employee of the Polish special services gave him $2,000.
