Decisions adopted in Union State reboot Belarusian-Russian economic integration

MINSK, 9 November (BelTA) – The decisions adopted by the Supreme State Council of the Union State actually reboot the Belarusian-Russian economic integration, Chairman of the House of Representatives Vladimir Andreichenko said at a meeting of the sixth session of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of Belarus of the seventh convocation, BelTA has learned.

“4 November marked an important political event - a meeting of the Supreme State Council of the Union State of Belarus and Russia. Great work that was carried out over the past few years resulted in 28 Union State programs approved by the leaders of Belarus and Russia. They aim to approximate the macroeconomic, industrial, and agrarian policies of the two states, and to coordinate the positions in a number of other important areas. These decisions actually reboot the Belarusian-Russian economic integration," Vladimir Andreichenko said.

According to him, in the light of the Union State programs, priority attention will need to be paid to the work on the approximation of legislation and the uniform law enforcement practice.

In November, Minsk will play host to the 61st session of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Union State of Belarus and Russia. "The Union State MPs will need to solve a number of organizational issues related to joint work. In particular, we will need to approve the powers of the new members from Russia in the Parliamentary Assembly and to set up the commissions of the assembly," the speaker said.
