MINSK, 27 September (BelTA) - A delegation of the Türkiye Embassy visited Belarusian National Technical University (BNTU) to get acquainted with the educational and research facilities of the university and to hold negotiations on cooperation, prospects and areas of joint work in education, science and innovation, BelTA learned from the Belarusian university.
On behalf of Türkiye, the event was attended by Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Türkiye to Belarus Mustafa Ozcan and the Embassy's Adviser on Education Fatih Kuzu. The Belarusian side was represented by BNTU Rector Sergei Kharitonchik, Vice Rector for Academic Affairs Yuri Nikolaichik and Dean of the Faculty of International Cooperation Pavel Shirvel. “These negotiations will give a new impetus for the development of cooperation between our educational institutions," Sergei Kharitonchik said in his welcoming remarks.
Eighteen citizens of Türkiye are currently enrolled in Belarusian National Technical University. To get acquainted with the learning process, the university proposed to develop a special program of summer schools and to devise joint educational programs in English and Russian languages.
The Summer School is a program of acquaintance with the educational process in BNTU and the sights of the capital of Belarus. During their stay in Minsk, foreign guests go on many excursions, including to the leading industrial enterprises of the country. During the summer school, foreign students are accompanied by volunteer students of BNTU, communicate with them and improve their knowledge of the Russian language.
