Belarusian-Russian army logistics exercise in progress

MINSK, 23 August (BelTA) – A Belarusian-Russian army exercise for logistics, rear services support, and technical support units is scheduled for 23-27 August. The exercise will take place in the army exercise area Obuz-Lesnovsky, the training center Lesishche, and at permanent stations of the army units, representatives of the Belarusian Defense Ministry told BelTA.

The purpose of the exercise is to check the readiness and the ability of command and control bodies and logistics units of the Belarusian army and the Russian one to work together. It will also test skills of the troops and will serve as part of preparations for the Belarusian-Russian strategic army exercise Zapad 2021.

Over 1,300 military personnel and over 200 units of special hardware and automobiles will be deployed in the course of practical actions.
