MINSK, 8 September (BelTA) - On 7 October, the Belarusian air carrier Belavia will start operating regular flights from Minsk to Ras al Khaimah, United Arab Emirates, BelTA learned from the company's advertising and communications department.
Flights will be operated once a week on Thursdays. Departure from Minsk is scheduled for 4.55, arrival at Ras al Khaimah International Airport (RKT) - 11.25. Return flight will depart at 12.25 and arrive in the Belarusian capital at 17.10. All airport times are local.
Tickets can be purchased from the airline's website, ticket sales offices and from agents. A one-way ticket will cost from €196 and a round-trip ticket will cost from €338 (LIGHT fare). For more information, please visit www.belavia.by.
Belavia will operate an Embraer 195-E2, designed to carry 125 passengers: 9 seats in business class and 116 in economy. With an increase in demand, the company may replace the aircraft with a more capacious Boeing 737-800. Flight time is five and a half hours.

The airline is constantly developing its route network and studying the demand for air transportation from Belarus. Given the high demand for flights to the UAE, we decided to offer our passengers a new destination - Ras al Khaimah. The Emirate has a more comfortable climate. There are a lot of attractions with rich history and places for recreation there. In addition, the proximity of Ras Al Khaimah to Dubai will enable travelers to chart out combined routes using Belavia flights," said Igor Cherginets, Belavia's Director General.
Ras Al Khaimah is the northernmost Emirate in the UAE, located near the Hajar Mountains. The most popular tourist sites are the National Museum, Manar Mall, Saqr Park, Iceland Waterpark, Golf Club and Jazirah Aviation Club.
Ras Al Khaimah International Airport is located 18km away from the city and the resort area. The journey to the airport takes about 20 minutes depending on the transport. The distance to Dubai is about 100km, to Sharjah - about 80km.
