MINSK, 16 December (BelTA) – Belarus will demonstrate its opportunities in business tourism to the BRICS countries during the international conference Meet Global MICE Congress: BRICS Edition, which will be held in Moscow on 16-17 December, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Touristic Union.
Representatives of the tourism industry from Belarus, Russia, Kazakhstan, India, China, Brazil and other countries will discuss the prospects for business tourism and strengthening ties within the BRICS countries. Over 1,000 participants will take part in the event. A total of 13 business sessions will feature more than 50 speakers. The conference will become an important platform for sharing experience, presenting projects and finding partners in MICE tourism, hotel business and other areas of the industry. MICE (meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions tourism) is a type of the business tourism which holds various corporate events.
"This is a chance for Belarus to demonstrate itself as a promising destination for business tourism, showcase its projects and establish ties with companies from the BRICS countries. We see a huge potential in cooperation, especially in terms of MICE events, which have been taking an important place in the export tourist flow of Belarus for several years," Chairman of the Board of the Belarusian Touristic Union Filipp Guliy stated.
During the plenary sessions, the participants will discuss innovative approaches in the MICE industry, challenges and prospects from the point of view of both business and government, opportunities for sustainable development in the BRICS space and present their successful projects. The Belarusian Touristic Union will present the 3rd Russia-Belarus Tourism Congress, which will be held in Minsk on 9 April 2025.
