MINSK, 18 July (BelTA) – Belarus and Russia are interested in realizing the Union State program on creating an electric vehicle together. The project was discussed as representatives of OOO Renera (part of Rosatom's TVEL Fuel Company) visited the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, BelTA has learned.
The joint creation of energy accumulators for electric vehicles is one of the promising areas. The sides discussed the gradual localization of manufacturing of energy accumulation systems in Belarus using Renera's technology and taking into account regional peculiarities and specializations of individual enterprises.
Top executives of the Russian company were made familiar with R&D products of Belarusian scientists in the area of graphite materials and sodium-ion batteries. Protection from electromagnetic radiation, battery recycling, and heat dissipation technologies were also discussed.
The sides intend to exchange visits for the sake of further advancement of cooperation.
