Yuri Seliverstov appointed finance minister of Belarus

MINSK, 4 June (BelTA) - Yuri Seliverstov has been made new Finance Minister of Belarus. Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko announced the appointment on 4 June, BelTA has learned.

“Keep an eye on every kopeck, spend money rationally,” the head of state said addressing the new minister.

Maksim Yermolovich, who until now held this ministerial post, will serve as a diplomat in one of the European countries. “He asked for a diplomatic job, speaks a foreign language. Minister of Foreign Affairs Vladimir Makei also asks for him,” Aleksandr Lukashenko said. "I cannot stand in the way. The man wants to try himself in a new position, let him. He worked well. But I expect more results from Yuri Seliverstov,” the president added.
