MINSK, 25 October (BelTA) – Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko has extended greetings to President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev of Kazakhstan as the country celebrates Republic Day, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian leader.
“The historical significance of the adoption of the Declaration of State Sovereignty is hard to overstate. It was this document that set the course for an independent nation and laid down the key principles for its development,” the head of state said. “Drawing on its rich experience, Kazakhstan is steadfastly implementing a policy of peace and progress, acting as a proponent of mutual understanding and intercultural dialogue on a global scale.”
The president expressed his conviction that the long-standing relations between Minsk and Astana, founded on trust and friendship, are a reliable guarantee for the further strengthening of Belarusian-Kazakh cooperation.
Aleksandr Lukashenko wished the president of Kazakhstan strong health and wellbeing, and a bright and prosperous future to the fraternal people of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
