MINSK, 7 September (BelTA) – Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko has sent greetings to the participants of the 25th International Sambo Tournament for the Prizes of the President of the Republic of Belarus, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian leader.
"In our country, this type of martial arts is one of the most successful and loved ones, and Belarusian athletes are always among medal hopefuls at all prestigious competitions," the message of greetings says. "This year sambo received Olympic recognition, which means that our tournament will become even more popular."
Aleksandr Lukashenko wished all participants good health, spectacular fights, unforgettable impressions of the tournament and the Belarusian capital.
