Lukashenko extends Agriculture and Processing Industry Workers' Day greetings

MINSK, 16 November (BelTA) – Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko has extended greetings to Belarusians as the country marks Agriculture and Processing Industry Workers’ Day, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian leader.

“This year has been extremely challenging due to weather conditions. Thanks to your professionalism, hard work, and dedicated stewardship of your land, the country has harvested a record crop of grain, legumes, and rapeseed - over 11 million tonnes,” Aleksandr Lukashenko said.

The head of state emphasized that the stable work of all units within the agricultural sector has made it possible to fulfill the state order for grain supplies, to establish the seed stock, to procure the necessary volume of fodder for livestock, to gather a worthy harvest of industrial crops, and to keep processing enterprises operating at full capacity.

“The country's food security has been fully ensured, and its export potential is growing. Such a high result has been made possible by the labor of thousands of people for whom the land is a source of inspiration and strength,” the message of greetings reads. “I am convinced that you are capable of handling any challenge facing the agricultural sector, and we will take pride in your successes many more times to come.”

The president wished workers of the agriculture and processing industries good health, happiness, and new achievements for the benefit of their beloved Belarus.
