MINSK, 29 September (BelTA) – China has transformed into a mighty industrial, scientific, and technological power and a pillar of the global economy, Belarusian First Deputy Prime Minister Nikolai Snopkov said at an official event to celebrate the 76th anniversary of the People’s Republic of China foundation on 29 September, BelTA has learned.
He stressed that he was glad to attend the event marking the founding day of the People’s Republic of China, a great power whose development has become one of the most inspiring examples in modern history.
“In less than eight decades under the wise leadership of the Communist Party, the Chinese people have achieved truly epoch-making accomplishments,” the first deputy prime minister said. “In a historically short time, China has become a mighty industrial, scientific, and technological power, a pillar of the global economy, and one of the key centers of international politics.”
He also noted that the People’s Republic of China has achieved outstanding success in poverty reduction, ensuring a decent standard of living for hundreds of millions of citizens.
“These achievements, which have no parallel in world history, testify to the strength of the strategic course of the new China’s leaders and the hard work of the Chinese people. Today, China is confidently moving towards the realization of the Two Centenaries and the fulfillment of the Chinese Dream of the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation,” Nikolai Snopkov summarized.
