
MINSK, 11 April (BelTA) - Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has changed the schedule of his visit to Belarus, Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko told the media following the talks with the Pakistani prime minister in Minsk on 11 April, BelTA has learned.
"I am grateful to the prime minister for agreeing to change his schedule and visit one of our leading enterprises producing heavy-duty dump trucks. There he can directly communicate with the management and the staff and tell them about Pakistan's needs and what BelAZ should produce for Pakistan," Aleksandr Lukashenko said.
In turn, Shehbaz Sharif expressed great interest in Belarusian technologies. "We want to learn from your experience and adopt your best practices. I know that Belarus excels in manufacturing equipment, including for the mining industry. It produces mining dump trucks and various types of machinery. I am looking forward to visiting one of the factories [BelAZ]. We have no doubts that we will benefit from your expertise," Shehbaz Sharif stated.
He also stressed that Pakistan has rich mineral resources, and this area of cooperation could be highly promising. "Millions of dollars can be earned in this sector. I believe we will be excellent partners in this regard," the prime minister concluded.
