TeMEx international industrial online expo brings together over 70 companies

MINSK, 14 October (BelTA) – More than 70 companies from eight countries are taking part in the TeMEx international industrial online expo, Chairman of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BelCCI) Vladimir Ulakhovich said as he attended the opening ceremony of the online expo, BelTA has learned.

“Belarus' first virtual expo Made in Belarus #AgroFood was a valuable experience. I am sure that based on that experience we will make this expo even more fruitful and make it a useful and important platform for companies that are taking part in it. The expo will showcase a wide range of products from large vehicles to hi-tech solutions,” Vladimir Ulakhovich noted.

According to him, Belarus is represented at the expo by leading mechanical engineering companies, including Amkodor, BelAZ, and MAZ. The National Academy of Sciences of Belarus (NASB) will demonstrate its innovative solutions and latest technologies, including a drone and other innovations. MAZ will unveil its latest product – an electric bus. The Belarusian lift manufacturer Mogilevliftmash will display a new product line and BelAZ will present its Intellectual Quarry project. “Our foreign partners will also showcase their innovative products. The program of the expo will also include an international industrial online forum featuring experts from seven countries,” Vladimir Ulakhovich added.

“In the past 30 years, Belarus' economy was manufacturing-based, the share of the manufacturing industry in the GDP was around 30%. Of course, the manufacturing industry will always be in focus of the government and the business community. Perhaps, this is why we decided to hold such an expo. I believe that it will yield great results,” he said.

The TeMEx international industrial online expo will be running through 14 January 2021 under the auspices of the BelCCI and with the support of the Belarusian Industry Ministry, the NASB, sectoral ministries, and Belarusian embassies. Industry ministries, scientific institutions, chambers of commerce and industry, and business unions of several other countries have also contributed to the organization of the event.

The name of the event stands for Technology and Machinery Expo. Its key motto – Every Link Counts! – emphasizes the connection between the national industry of every country and the global economic ecosystem.

The program of the online expo will include business events featuring representatives of government authorities and companies from various countries.
