GOMEL, 25 February (BelTA) – Belorusneft is cooperating with its Chinese partners in a range of areas, including access to technology and equipment markets, as well as expertise in developing hard-to-recover reserves, Belorusneft Director General Aleksandr Lyakhov told reporters ahead of the 60th anniversary of the Belarusian industrial group, BelTA has learned.
In 2022, Belorusneft established a subsidiary in the People’s Republic of China. “The goals and objectives of this enterprise are primarily to provide our company with access to Chinese technologies and the market for equipment and other oil products. Over the past three years, our enterprise in China has undergone intensive development. And today, we can say that we source all the necessary technologies and equipment from the Chinese market that we once purchased from the West,” Aleksandr Lyakhov noted.
He emphasized that Chinese companies are leaders in the oil and gas industry. “This is now recognized by the international community. Our enterprise works with companies, the market, state-owned enterprises, and organizations of the People’s Republic of China,” the director noted.
“The People’s Republic of China, like the Republic of Belarus, is actively developing hard-to-recover reserves. And the experience accumulated in China and our country helps improve the practices used in both China and Belarus,” he added.
“Based on this cooperation, we can say that Belorusneft will move forward in developing its technological and digital potential. This is important both for our company and for the growth of oil production in the Republic of Belarus,” Aleksandr Lyakhov is convinced.
