MINSK, 10 June (BelTA) – Russia's Penza Oblast is actively establishing ties with Brest Oblast of Belarus, not only in agriculture, but also in logistics, Head of the Penza Oblast Export Promotion Center Alexandra Bessonova told BelTA at the international exhibition Belagro 2022.
“We are working on a joint agricultural route Minsk-Penza-Harbin (China). We will be able to secure food security of our countries, and together enter the market of China,” said Alexandra Bessonova.
In her words, cooperation between the Belarusian and Russian regions have recently intensified. “There is a very constructive dialogue aimed at mutual complementarity, purchase and processing of raw materials. We check what equipment and competences each of us has. We have common mentality and approach to business - it makes the work easier. There is an understanding that our countries need to be present in the global market, including the Chinese market. In this regard, we are working on a more effective export strategy,” said the head of the Penza Oblast Export Promotion Center.
The international exhibition Belagro 2022 is taking place in the Chinese-Belarusian industrial park Great Stone on 7-11 June. The agricultural forum brings together not only Belarusian farmers and workers of food and processing industry, but also their foreign counterparts and partners. This year more than 400 companies from different countries, including Belarus, China, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan and others take part in the exhibition. A large number of participants are from Russia - more than 30 regions.
