MINSK, 24 March (BelTA) – BelVEB Bank opened an office in the China-Belarus industrial park Great Stone on 24 March. The office is located on the first floor of the main administrative building, BelTA has learned.
BelVEB Bank Chairman of the Board Vasily Matyushevsky said: “The opening of the office is a serious step in realizing our 2019-2021 strategy with regard to new technological capabilities. The bank branch has been opened according to the unmanned office concept and will provide a broad range of services, including banking and banking-related ones, to banks and a large number of companies that belong to the ecosystem.”
In his words, the office will become a new starting point, including for realizing the Belarusian-Chinese bilateral agenda. “We are happy and honored to open the office as a symbol of implementation of the strategy of our holding company and VEB.RF Group as a whole as part of a joint global project with the Chinese side (the Great Silk Road,)” the bank head underlined.
The new office meets modern banking service requirements. The client zone boasts a renewed design, which combines possibilities of getting digital services and live communication with the personnel, who are ready to consult natural persons and representatives of the corporate sector about a broad range of banking services. High-tech devices have been installed there, including an ATM, a self-service kiosk, and an automatic deposit machine. Remote services are also available. A zone has been arranged for negotiations with representatives of the corporate sector – companies residing in the China-Belarus industrial park Great Stone.
Kirill Rudy, head of the BelVEB Bank ecosystem development division (Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to China in 2016-2020), noted: “The holding company BelVEB Bank has become one step closer to customers, which is particularly important taking into account the current epidemic situation. The office will employ Chinese-speaking specialists, including native speakers, who will become the one-stop shop for providing all BelVEB Bank's financial services primarily to residents of the industrial park. At the same time we believe that the new office will also attract the attention of Smolevichi District residents.”
The expansion of the institutional environment that focuses on the People's Republic of China, in particular, the opening of BelVEB Bank's office in the China-Belarus industrial park Great Stone, is stipulated by the concept of development of BelVEB Bank's cooperation with Chinese partners in 2020-2022.
BelVEB Bank's office in the China-Belarus industrial park Great Stone continues the strategic cooperation that began in 2019 when BelVEB Bank and SZAO Industrial Park Development Company signed a memorandum of joint investment on the basis of an R&D center in the China-Belarus industrial park Great Stone.
On 1 October 2020 SZAO Industrial Park Development Company issued tokens guaranteed by BelVEB Bank via the cryptocurrency platform Finstore.by, which is run by OOO DFS. It was the first deal in Belarus that offered tokens backed by a bank.
