Belarusian business eager to build up presence in Brazilian market

MINSK, 28 March (BelTA) - Business communities of Belarus and Brazil are working to expand the range of supplies, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BelCCI).

The Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry hosted a meeting of the business community with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Brazil to Belarus Bernard Jorg Leopold de Garcia Klingl. The meeting was attended by Deputy Chairwoman of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Yelena Malinovskaya.

Belarus and Brazil maintain friendly relations. Brazil is Belarus's main partner in foreign trade with Latin American countries and is among Belarus' top 10 partners in the world. “At the moment, potash and nitrogen fertilizers are Belarus’ major exports to Brazil. I am convinced that expanding the range of supplies of both Belarusian goods to Brazil and Brazilian goods to Belarus corresponds with the interests of the two countries,” Yelena Malinovskaya said.

For his part Ambassador Bernard Jorg Leopold de Garcia Klingl said that Brazil associates Belarus with high quality products, reliability, and responsibility. According to the ambassador, now Brazil has an opportunity to get better acquainted with our country, while Belarus can tap in new markets.
Also, the Ambassador answered the questions of business representatives: about the nuances of opening a company in Brazil, doing business with Brazilian counterparties, and the national legislation.
