MINSK, 17 March (BelTA) – Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Brazil Andrei Andreyev visited a national expo of agricultural machines and technologies for family farms in the city of Campinas, Sao Paulo State, representatives of the Belarusian embassy in Brazil told BelTA.
As part of the visit the ambassador met with Brazilian Minister of Agrarian Development and Family Farming Luis Paulo Teixeira. The ambassador confirmed Belarus’ interest in further deepening and diversifying bilateral cooperation in the agricultural sector, including, in addition to fertilizer supplies, the establishment of joint agricultural machinery production facilities in Brazil and the exchange of applied science experience.
The head of the Belarusian diplomatic mission also met with representatives of Brazilian business circles specializing in the supply of tractors and attachments to the local market. During the meeting special attention was paid to discussing opportunities for Brazilian farmers to use agricultural machines and vehicles made by Minsk Tractor Works (MTZ trademark), which are designed for small and medium-sized agricultural enterprises.
