MINSK, 25 February (BelTA) – The Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BelCCI) plans to organize four business visits for Belarusian companies to Türkiye in 2025, BelCCI Chairman Mikhail Myatlikov said at a meeting with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Türkiye to Belarus Güçlü Cem Işık on 25 February, BelTA learned from the BelCCI press service.
In 2024, the BelCCI ran 24 business events, including a meeting of the Belarusian-Turkish Business Cooperation Council on 28 November 2024. “We also praise the good relations between the BelCCI and the Turkish Embassy in Minsk,” Mikhail Myatlikov stressed.
As for bilateral trade and economic cooperation, the BelCCI chairman said that Turkiye has been among the leading trade partners of Belarus for the fourth straight year. “As Belarusian statistics shows, we successfully supply equipment, woodworking products, plastics and fertilizers to the Turkish market. In turn, Belarusians eagerly buy Turkish fruits and vegetables. And, of course, Turkish industrial products (equipment, knitted fabrics, chemical yarns and fibers) are also in demand in Belarus,” he said. “Efficient logistics is the most important component for further work on increasing mutual trade.”
While discussing the plans for 2025, Mikhail Myatlikov reiterated the BelCCI's focus on further expansion of business cooperation between Belarus and Türkiye. “The BelCCI is planning four business visits to Türkiye this year, and also the participation of Belarusian delegations in two exhibitions in Türkiye - the YARN FAIR exhibition and the F Istanbul Food and Technology Exhibition.”
According to the BelCCI head, participation in the INNOPROM exhibition, which is to be held in Minsk on 29 September – 1 October, will be a great opportunity for Turkish companies to establish business contacts with Russian, Belarusian and CIS companies. The exhibition will feature a large-scale business program, he added.
According to Mikhail Myatlikov, Belarusian business representatives will hold meetings with ambassadors accredited in Belarus as part of a format of the Chamber's interaction with BelCCI members (membership card). “For example, we are to organize a meeting with the ambassadors of Latin America in Q1. In Q2 there will be meetings with representatives of Africa, then Asia and the CIS. Two weeks ago, given the great interest of business, we held a very successful meeting of Belarusian enterprises with the ambassador of Serbia,” he said.
