MINSK, 25 January (BelTA) – Belarus is ready to welcome Venezuela President Nicolas Maduro on a visit, Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko said as he received the credentials from Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Venezuela to Belarus Jose Boggiano Pericchi on 25 January, BelTA informs.

“The development of all-round relations with Venezuela is among the priorities of Belarus' foreign policy in Latin America,” the President of Belarus stressed.

“With a view to further strengthening the bilateral cooperation, Belarus is ready to host Venezuela President Nicolas Maduro on a visit, as we agreed upon during our meeting in Moscow in May 2015,” he said.

Alexander Lukashenko stressed that Belarus would stay committed to the development of relations with Venezuela, the course once chosen by Hugo Chavez. Belarus took an active part in Venezuela's large-scale projects in oil production, seismic exploration, installation of gas services, construction, industrial and agricultural sector. Belarusian specialists also partook in the construction of three assembly plants in Venezuela to assemble tractors, trucks and road-building equipment.

According to the President, Belarus also considers Peru as a promising partner in South America. The Belarusian equipment is well-known to Peruvian consumers since the USSR times. It is famous for its good value for money. “We are ready to supply Peru with a wide range of machine-building products and high-tech equipment,” said Alexander Lukashenko. In his words, Belarus is also ready to purchase Peru's goods, including for the supplies to other states.
