Minister: Belarus has all necessary conditions for professional and amateur sports

 MINSK, 18 May (BelTA) – Belarusian Sport and Tourism Minister Sergei Kovalchuk congratulated his colleagues on the Physical Education and Sport Workers Day, BelTA learned from the press service of the Sport and Tourism  Ministry.

"In Belarus, physical education and sport have always been one of the main areas of the social and economic development of the state. Our country has created all the necessary conditions for training both at the professional and amateur levels. Time tests our unity, and we, Belarusians, press forward and continue to form a physically and spiritually healthy nation," Sergei Kovalchuk said.

“This year is rich in sporting events, and we will root and support our athletes who will compete in the BRICS Games, the Summer Olympic Games, the World Friendship Games and other major sports events. I am sure that our athletes will perform to the top of their abilities and make sports battles more exciting to watch," the minister stressed. 

He added: "I express my gratitude to all athletes, sports veterans, sports industry workers for their fruitful work, energy and dedication to their work. I sincerely wish you good health, goodness, peace, sports longevity, new records and great victories!"
