MINSK, 11 December (BelTA) – Belarus' number 297 Yulia Gotovko lost to Romania's world number 85 Sorana Cirstea 3-6, 3-6 in the first round of the 2018 Al Habtoor Tennis Challenge main draw in Dubai, BelTA has learned.
The Belarusian went though the qualifying, defeating Switzerland's world number 447 Susan Bandecchi 7-6 (7-2), 4-6, 6-4, UK's world number 498 Eden Silva 6-3, 6-1, and Czech Barbora Krejcikova (World No.206) 6-3, 5-7, 6-2.
Belarus' world number 429 Olga Govortsova lost to Slovenia's world number 86 Tamara Zidansek 7-6 (7-4), 4-6, 6-7 (5-7) in the first round of the main draw.
Competitions in Dubai will complete on 16 December.
