MINSK, 5 October (BelTA) – Five players of HC Dinamo Minsk have tested positive for the novel coronavirus, BelTA learned from the official website of the Bisons.
BelTA reported about the team's COVID-19 outbreak after the players arrived in Riga for the KHL regular season match. A number of players as well as members of the administrative and coaching staff tested positive for the infection. When the Bisons returned to Minsk, they were retested. This time the Dinamo players' tests were conducted in the KDL network of medical laboratories, a partner of KHL.
“Most of the team tested negative for the virus, while five players had the infection. They have already been isolated. The team doctors are monitoring the health status of the players, coaches and administrative staff. Additional testing will be conducted,” the HC Dinamo Minsk said.
The Bisons are set to hold the next five matches at Minsk Arena. They are to host HC Sochi on 7 October, HC Kunlun Red Star on 9 October, HC Dinamo Riga on 11 October, HC Lokomotiv on 16 October, and HC Spartak Moscow on 18 October.
