Belarusian FM, Palestinian Ambassador discuss prospects for normalizing situation in Gaza Strip

 MINSK, 1 May – Belarusian Minister of Foreign Affairs Sergei Aleinik met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the State of Palestine to the Republic of Belarus Ahmed Mohammed al-Madbuh in Minsk on 30 April, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

"The parties exchanged views on the current situation in the Middle East and the prospects for normalizing the situation in the Gaza Strip," the ministry said.

The parties spoke in favor of an early and just settlement of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict, which requires political will, the resumption of the negotiation process and the intensification of the efforts of all parties involved and stakeholders. 

On the occasion of the appointment of a new government in Palestine, Sergei Aleinik conveyed congratulatory messages from the Belarusian side and expressed hope for the continuation of joint work to develop the bilateral relations in politics, trade, economy, cultural and humanitarian matters.
