
MINSK, 29 June (BelTA) – We have been consistently working to increase the density of state border protection, Chairman of the Belarusian State Border Committee Konstantin Molostov said on the air of the STV channel, BelTA learned.
When asked about the opening of border posts in the southern direction, Konstantin Molostov described the situation there as “regularly tense”. “We are increasing the density of state border protection, first of all, by creating new units, building new military camps, border posts in the southern direction. This is a state program, and our job is to implement it,” Konstantin Molostov said.
According to him, two brand new border outposts were opened this year. “This year we are going to put into operation six new military camps, units and border outposts. Every year, maybe even a month, we improve, in response to the developing situation on the state border,” the head of the border service stressed.


Konstantin Molostov noted that unmanned aircraft and radioelectronic means are continuously developing: “We are always ready for this. We have been developing combat engineering, mining.”
Speaking about the situation on the western direction, the head of the State Border Committee noted that the Belarusian border service and the border services of the neighboring states manage to tackle "some technical issues, some border incidents.”
