Latvian delegation visits Belarusian army unit, Military Academy

MINSK, 19 August (BelTA) – A Latvian delegation led by Chief of the Armed Forces, Lieutenant-General Leonids Kalnins visited a unit of the Belarusian army and the Military Academy, the press service of the Belarusian Defense Ministry told BelTA.

Members of the delegation also met with Belarusian Defense Minister, Lieutenant-General Andrei Ravkov. The sides exchanged opinions about items on the international agenda and about bilateral interaction in matters of defense.

In the Military Academy the delegation was made familiar with the structure and tasks of the military higher education institution, with an exposition in the military history hall, and visited the IT company (a unit of the Belarusian army). Leonids Kalnins left a note in the Distinguished Visitors' Book.
