MINSK, 16 November (BelTA) – The Investigative Committee of Belarus is verifying the fact of the use of special gear and ammunition against unarmed citizens and their injuries at the border checkpoint Bruzgi at the Belarusian-Polish border, BelTA has learned.
There are women and children among those injured.
“When flash bangs and water cannons were used by the neighboring country, the victims were also in the territory of the Republic of Belarus,” the Investigative Committee of Belarus said.
An investigation team is working on site. A mobile forensic examination lab has been deployed. The work will continue at night using lighting equipment. The examination of the incident site in Belarus' territory has begun. The victims are being questioned. The situation at the incident site is being recorded. Traces and objects are being collected for consequent expert evaluation.
