Agenda for Minsk EAEU summit approved

MINSK, 27 September (BelTA) – The agenda of the meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council in Minsk has been approved at a web-based meeting of the EEC Council chaired by Belarusian Deputy Prime Minister Natalya Petkevich, the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Economy told BelTA.

The agenda for the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council meeting in Minsk next week features 18 items, covering financial support for industry and agriculture, development of an integrated information system, transport infrastructure, and other areas. 

The EEC Council also addressed 29 items pertaining to technical regulation, standardization, and other areas. A detailed discussion was held on implementing the strategic areas for developing Eurasian economic integration up to 2025. 

The EEC Council approved a pilot project introducing navigation seals for certain timber types shipped via Russia to Kazakhstan or Kyrgyzstan, exempting trucks from mandatory GLONASS satellite navigation equipment.

An action plan for the creation, operation, and development of the integrated system in 2026 was approved. The document includes the following areas: comprehensive system design of the integrated system, upgrading and enhancement of the Commission’s integration segment within the integrated system, support and expansion of the cross-border trust environment.

The EEC Council members approved the decision of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council “On the general principles and approaches to determining liability for violation of requirements and procedures in the application of sanitary, veterinary-sanitary, and quarantine phytosanitary measures.”
