CIS announces competition for young foreign policy scholars

MOSCOW, 31 March (BelTA) – The Andrei Gromyko CIS Competition for Young Foreign Policy Scholars has announced deadlines for submitting applications, BelTA informs.

This competition has been held since 2018, and over this time it has brought together more than 600 young scientists, diplomats, representatives of public associations and businesses from 11 CIS countries. Belarus and Russia are traditionally the core of the competition and submit the biggest number of applications. The competition seeks to popularize research on the Great Patriotic War, international relations, the contemporary history of diplomacy and integration processes in the Eurasian space. The competition is aimed at facilitating communication between young researchers and diplomats, as well as expanding interaction between research and educational institutions of the CIS and EAEU countries.

The competition is organized by the Andrei Gromyko Association of Foreign Policy Studies, the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Belarus, the Institute of Europe of the Russian Academy of Sciences with the support of the Standing Committee of the Union State, MGIMO University, the Eurasian Economic Commission, the CIS Interstate Humanitarian Cooperation Fund.

Applications can be submitted by students and graduates of higher learning institutions, post-graduate students, scientists, teachers, journalists, analysts, business specialists, representatives of public associations, diplomats from the CIS member states under 40 years old. Applications are accepted until 11 May inclusive.
