BelTA’s exhibition to mark 105th anniversary of Komsomol in Minsk

MINSK, 24 September (BelTA) – BelTA has unveiled an exhibition dedicated to the 105th anniversary of the Komsomol at the Youth House. The project is part of the 46th Congress of the BRSM Youth Union bringing together participants of the second Belarusian congresses, iconic construction projects, young field workers, and modern volunteers, BelTA learned.

The 46th BRSM Congress is co-located with the exhibition "Komsomol Chronicle: 1920-2025", the centerpiece of which was a photo exhibition by the Belarusian news agency BelTA featuring 20 photographic works. The photographs, taken by the established photographers, reveal the continuity of generations of young activists: from the first Komsomol members to representatives of the modern youth organization.

The photo series opens with a memorable photograph capturing the participants of the second Belarusian Komsomol Congress dated 1921. It depicts the people who laid the foundation for the Komsomol movement. The exhibition introduces the ordinary Komsomol members: young workers from the Kommunarka confectionery factory, girls working at the MAZ plant construction site, tractor drivers from Ruzhany District, Brest Oblast and young people heading to the virgin lands to help with the harvest. The joy of labor victories, moments of cheer during concerts and moments of making important decisions at congresses… All indicate that young people have always remained a vital participant in the life of the country.
The black-and-white journey into history is followed by color footage from the modern history of the youth movement featuring volunteers from the Kind Heart movement, builders of the first Belarusian nuclear power plant in Ostrovets, and young machine builders.
